Zebronics Zeb-Thunder Wireless BT Headphone Review

Zebronics is known for its EQR Mantra (Excellence, Quality, and Reliability) throughout its large range of computer peripherals and consumer electronics. The Zeb-Thunder is a beast of a product. It comes with a powerful 40mm driver and Bluetooth 4.2 technology. With its 9 hour playback time, you’re set for the day after you charge the device fully. It can also be connected via AUX cables when you run out of battery, and it comes right out of the box.

Features

Multi Connectivity

The playback on this headset is supported in 3 modes. Bluetooth mode, 3,5mm aux cable mode, and Micro SD card mode. On a single device, you can go wireless while connected via Bluetooth. You can plug the 3.5mm cables when you run out of batteries and even above all of that, you can insert a Micro SD card with all the songs in it to listen. So much effort into this device.

Lightweight

As long as over the ear headphones go, this one is very light in weight. It only weighs around 270 grams. You won’t feel anything heavy on your head. It’s very lightweight even to carry outside.

Soft ear cups

The comfort of this headset is very good. The ear cushions are so soft that it prevents your ears from hurting even if you go for longer sessions. 3-4 hours of continuous playback is not a problem for this headset.

What Do We like

Battery Life

The battery life of this product at this range is unimaginable. It lasts for up to 9 hours of Bluetooth playback time. It takes about 2.5 hours to charge but totally worth the time. Pretty decent battery backup for a budget-friendly over the ear headset.

Built-in FM

It comes with a built-in FM tuner. Now you can listen to your favorite FM channel. Just wear your headset, and you’re good to go. I doubt if any other headset at this price offers this feature is even available in the market.

Clarity and Bass

The sound quality is very crisp of this headset. They are crystal clear to hear at any given volume. Bass is decent. It’s not too much, but it will do. Melody’s songs seem to be perfectly fine for this headset.

Controls

It has a Volume-, Volume +, Play/Pause button inbuilt. This feature comes very handily when you’re listening to music or watching movies. Volume controls are placed nicely so that they are easily accessible.

What We Don’t Like

Sync

If you’re connected via Bluetooth, then sometimes the online videos don’t match the audio. The audio-video sync problem. Low budget Bluetooth headsets usually have this problem more or less.

Mic

The microphone that comes with this headset is of poor quality. It doesn’t properly transmit audio to the other side. And for not having the noise cancellation feature, it is very difficult to have a decent conversation.

Conclusion

This headset has way too many features for its price range. FM Radio is a bonus factor. Except for calling and online videos, this headset’s performance is pretty decent in every other aspect. Good crispy sound, decent bass, great battery life, and most comfortable. So this is a sure go.
