Acer Iconia One 7 (B1-7A0-K78BMTK MT8167B) (NT.LELAA.001) Tablet Review
Acer is a Taiwanese multinational company based in Taiwan. It is one of the oldest brands that manufactures laptops, computers, smartphones, monitors, and tablets as well. Acer never compromises with their product quality which is why they have managed to gain a good amount of market share.
This Acer Iconia One is a low-budget model of tablets and is suitable for personal use only. The limited specifications of this device can do the job smoothly and you will face no problem. Let’s have a look at the features, pros, and cons of this product to know more about in detail.
Iconia One tablet comes with a built-in 16GB eMMC memory. You can expand the memory up to 32GB using the micro-sd card. The total of a 48GB on memory is sufficient if you are using it for personal uses only.
The RAM (Random access memory) of this device is of 1 gigabyte. This is a pretty standard low-budget model from Acer. 1GB of RAM will get the job done decently.
Although this is a 2014 model tablet from Acer, it still comes with the latest Android 7.0 Nougat version in it. The latest optimized Android OS makes this device works faster by up to 5-10%.
What Do We like
The display of this Iconia tablet is 7 inches. The resolution that it has to offer is 1024×600 pixels. It is an IPS display with a touchscreen facility. The true rich colors of this display will make anything on it look crystal clear, sharp and crisp.
This low-budget model of Acer cames with a pretty budget camera. The rear camera of this device is 2Mp and the front-facing camera is VGA 0.7MP. Both of them are not so high-end but does the job somewhat to a certain level.
The performance of this tablet is decent at this price range. The 1.3GHz MediaTek 8167B processor helps to execute all the commands you give to the tablet. It is not one of the fastest ones but a decent one. Although, the model is a bit outdated but still performs better than many newer models.
This Iconia tablet comes with some of the needed sensors built-in the device. It has a proximity sensor, accelerometer, and compass management as well. They come in handily from time to time.
What We Don’t Like
The display quality is not one of the best in this product of Acer. The screen sensitivity is of poor quality. This means sometimes when you touch on any icon or at any given place on the screen it does not do anything. You need to give it a little push sometimes to work properly. Acer claims to have a sensitive touchscreen on this device but that is not entirely true.
This is one of the most major cons of this Iconia tablet. Even after having a 3700 mAh capacity of battery the battery back up is very poor. It hardly lasts 3-4 hours while doing anything. Whereas the battery backup is the main key feature of any tablet, this one lacks the feature.
There are some built-in speakers to listen to music or watch videos on the tablet. The quality of the speakers is very bad. They do not have any clarity if you play any music at full volume, the sounds get distorted. When it comes to bass, it is almost non-existent as well. All over the speakers are very cheap, do not feel good to listen to and probably won’t last very long either.
The model of this tablet is quite outdated and that is why the specifications of this tablet are not up to the mark at this price range. The performance is all over quite slow and tends to be slower after months of using it.
Acer is undoubtedly one of the best brands in the world, but this product of theirs is not. This is a 2014 manufactured tablet and is outdated right now. At this price range, the specification it is providing is not worth buying at all.
You can find many other companies update tablets at a lesser price than this one. The performance is slow, camera quality is not up to the mark, storage is very limited and the display does not respond every time as it should. Make sure to go through this article thoroughly before you purchase this Iconia tablet.
