Studds Jetstar D5 Flying Ace’s M.BK Review
Studds is an Indian company that is very old and still in continuous production of helmets. With more than five decades of experience, it has now become the world’s one of the largest helmet manufacturing companies.
This Jetstar flying helmet is an open face helmet with a unique graphic design. The premium quality helmet is very pocket-friendly. Let’s talk about its features, pros, and cons to know if this product is worth buying or not.
The outer body of this Jetstar helmet is made of ABS (Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) shell that is very lightweight and sturdy. This material is injected with a high impact thermoplastic and ensures maximum protection. It can absorb most of the damage and reduces the chances of you getting hurt.
Open face helmet
This is an open face helmet, which means no other dedicated air vents are designed on this helmet. The wide eye port area works as ventilation and lets the fresh air circulate all over your head so you can go sweat-free and be relaxed while riding. It also covers the back of your head.
What Do We like
The interior of this Jetstar helmet is covered with regulated density EPS or commonly known as expanded polystyrene. This is anti-allergic velveteen and is very soft to touch. It will make you more comfortable and won’t irritate your head; even you wear this for a longer period.
Protecting your head is one of the main reasons for buying and wearing a helmet. The outer ABS shell body is high impact resistant and is engineered to absorb maximum damage, ensuring more protection. The inner soft EPS liners will not only make you comfortable but also act as the last line of defense on any impact, saving your head from any injury.
The more lightweight the helmet is, the more comfortable it becomes for you to wear. This Jetstar helmet weighs around 1.3 kg. Even during long rides, your head won’t feel heavy.
The straps that come with this Studds helmet is of decent quality. They are easy to use and are covered with soft padding in the jaw protector area. These straps will make sure that the helmet does not come off while riding. The straps can also be used to tighten or loosen the helmet, ensuring a secure fit.
What We Don’t Like
The helmet may be a pocket-friendly product, but helmets priced lower than this comes with a visor. This one does not come with any visor nor with any retro glasses. Not having any of them with this helmet makes this a major con for the helmet. You won’t be protected from dust, direct sunlight, raindrops, etc.
This pocket-friendly helmet has all the necessary features in it except for the visor. The graphic design on the outer body and all-over protection system is pretty decent for this price range. The matt black color on the hard-coated body shines and gives a premium look.
If you are finding a cheap product with suitable features and higher protection, then this is an ideal product for you. This is a good value for money helmet that is worth buying.
